About Curved Stairlifts

curved staircase

Specifically designed for stairs with quarter landings and turns, curved stairlifts, can deal with the narrowest and twisty staircases or even spiral staircases. Due to the more complex nature of the track, curved stair lifts have traditionally been more expensive. However thanks to our trusted suppliers technical and engineering expertise, curved stairlift prices have fallen considerably, making buying a stylish custom made curved stairlift more affordable than ever.

Options

It is not uncommon for there to be challenges when installing a stairlift, sometimes with the staircase layout and sometimes the user may have specific requirements. Often just picking the right model can solve these challenges. Curved single rail stairlifts may be more suitable for spiral staircases or if the user has trouble bending their knees a curved perch seat stairlift could better suit their needs. With years of experience and innovative thinking our trusted suppliers will have a solution for most circumstances.

Hinged Track

If there was a doorway situated very close to the bottom of the stairs the track would pass in front of the door, creating a tripping hazard or restricting the use of the door. A solution to this would be a powered hinged track which can be folded away at the click of a button. After exiting the lift you can use the remote to park the stairlift slightly up the stairs then using the same control the track can be folded away.

Powered Swivel Seat

When a stairlift reaches the top of the stairs the seat can be swivelled round making it much safer and more comfortable to step onto the landing. In the event that a user has difficulty in using the swivel mechanism a powered swivel seat can be fitted so that the user can operate it with a button on the controls.
